Activity: 5th Anniversay Celebration at The Burning Pear Restaurant in beautiful Sugar Land Square.

February 23rd

Coordinators: Evelyn Rosenbaum & Norma Smith

Activity: Visit the new Houston Museum of Natural Science in Telfair - Sugarland. Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in First Colony's expanded mall.

17 of us enjoyed each other at this well-planned event. In attendance were Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Dana Anderson, Carolyn Azevedo, Julie Beu, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Marty Klashman, Dolores Patterson, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Barbara Trotter, Ester Wleczyk, and guest Janet Moss.

March 23rd

Coordinators: Pat Hayden & Ester Wleczyk

Acitivity: Tour George Ranch in Richmond, a historic Fort Bend County landmark ($12). Lunch at Gringo's in Brazos Town Center.

16 divas took in this interesting/educational landmark tour. In attendance were Sue Adam, Dana Anderson, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Edna Matamoros, Jolene Maurer, Janet Moss, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Ester Wleczyk, plus Lisa Pepin, a guest of the queen. Joining the group for lunch only were divas Dolores Patterson & Marcelle Smitley.

April 27th

Coordinators: Virginia Lemmon, Dolores Patterson & Diane Schuler

Activity: Enjoy a BINGO Tupperware Party at Diane's Richmond Home ($12). Lunch served there.

18 divas were present to enjoy this fun/fun gathering and savor the various & delicious tastes prepared for us by Diane and her co-hosts Dolores and Virginia. In attendance were Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Carolyn Azevedo, Shirley Beu, Connie Kaleta, Marty Klashman, Virginia Lemmon, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Trotter and Ester Wleczyk. Carolyn Stall, a guest of Shirley's, was also at the event.

May 25th

Activity: Enjoy the beauty of the Enchanted Forest in Richmend; benefit from an employee demonstration on 'container gardening'; bring a box lunch to eat in the open air.

12 divas came to make this delightful outing a part of their day. In attendance were Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Pat Hayden, Pat Hristopoulos, Virginia Lemmon, Dolores Patterson, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Marcelle Smitley and Ester Wleczyk. Also, Virginia's lovely daughter Valerie was her mom's guest for the event. It didn't seem that anyone left this enchanted forest without purchasing beautiful plants/shrubs that were on display there.

June 22nd

Coordidnators: Sue Adam, Carolyn Azevedo & Shirley Beu

Activity: Shop in the Harwin stores, enjoying Diva Sue Adam's VIP status with merchants there, receiving discounts, etc. Have lunch at the Red Robin restaurant before shopping.

16 of us enjoyed this fun & profitable diva gathering. In attendance were: Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Dana Anderson, Carolyn Azevedo, Shirley Beu, Virginia Lemmon, Jolene Maurer, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Watson (our newest member) & Ester Wlcczyk. Norma's delightful granddaughter Nicole was our guest for the day. How fun it was to have her in our midst!

July 16th (AN EXTRA ACTIVITY)

Coordinators: Queen Arlene Rivenes, Right Hand Lady Ester Wleczyk, & Diva Sue Adam

Activity: A Red Hat multi-chapter event sponsored by the Red Haute Divas: silent auction to benefit the non-profit Cinderella / Cinderfella Project over a delicious lunch at SugarLand Perry's Restaurant.

A group of fifty red hatters gathered for this special occasion, where $733 was earned for the CCP foundation. The following 15 divas graced the ocassion with their presence: Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Eva Fackeldey, Connie Kaleta, Edna Matamoros, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaun, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Trotter & Ester Wleczyk. In addition, Brenda Stevenson was Arlene's special 'diva guest' for the event.

July 27th

Coordinators: Dana Anderson & Eva Quearry

Activity: Dana's friend (Diane Twilley), the author of two novels, discussing her books with the divas, as well as the art of fiction writing. Also, Lisa Pepin being 'reduated' into full red hat status; she turns 50 on August 1st. Lunch was enjoyed at La Cocina Restaurant in Richmond.

Author Diane Twilley enjoyed being with the group.

July 28 - August 1, 2010 (An EXTRA EVENT)

Activity: International Red Hat Society Convention

Participants: Divas Arlene Rivenes and Ester Wleczyk

Queen Arlene & Right Hand Lady Ester traveled to San Diego to enjoy this splendid 5-day gathering. We were among 1000+ red hatters from around the world attending this "Brims By The Bay" event. Next year's International Convention is being held in New Orleans in August.

August 24th

Activity: Enjoy a High-Tea Luncheon at the Serenitea Restaurant in Sugar Creek.

16 of us divas were present to enjoy each other's company at this 'English' luncheon. Some of us won door prizes provided by the hostesses. September 28th

Activity: Play bunko and enjoy lunch at Jolene's Richmond home.

16 divas were fortunate enough today to be a part of the fantastic bunko/luncheon party at Jolene's beautiful home in Richmond. Both Jolene and co-hostess Janet outdid themselves in providing very delicious and yummy food for the snacks and the luncheon. What a great time was had by all! And the loving cameraderie amongst us was so apparent and so enjoyable. October 26th

Activity: Enjoy an Oom-pa-pa Birthday Celebration in conjunction with Octoberfest at Rudy Lechner's Restaurant, located at 2503 South Gessner in Houston.

12 divas traveled to this delightful restaurant to enjoy the fellowship we've grown accustomed to. The food was very good; the entertainment/games lead by the three gracious hostesses were fun; the gifts they presented were appreciated. In attendance were: Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Janet Moss, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rienes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Trotter & Ester Wleczyk.

November 15th - 3rd Monday

Activity: Movie & meal at the Draft House Theater

The planned activity was cancelled the last minute due to various sicknesses, road trips, and other scheduled events.

December 13th - 2nd Monday

Coordinators: Queen Arlene Rivenes & Co-queen Susie Adair

Activity: A Celebratory Holiday Party at Arlene's home, as is our yearly custom. A Potluck Lunch will be served. Exchange of Gifts will be enjoyed ($15 value). Twelve games of Bunko will be played (no fee); winners will receive gifts provided by Arlene & Susie.

20 divas enjoyed each other at this festive Christmas get-together.
