January 24th

Activity: Celebrating the Red Haute Divas 13th Anniversary at Corelli's

Another year of friendship and fun started at Corelli's, where 19 Divas were present to hear updates about last year's activities and plan the new year. Shirley reported that Purple Purse monies were sent to the Fleming family for donation to The Cure Starts Now in memory of Diva Brenda's sweet grandson, Brock. Funds were collected to replenish the Purple Purse account. Lisa reported that the Diva website was up to date. 2017 rosters were distributed and the calendar of events was begun. After our business was completed, we enjoyed yummy Italian dishes as we conversed and visited. Queen Connie shared a small token of friendship with each Diva. February 28th

Activity: Lunch at Berryhill Baja Grill and decorating chocolate bars at Mystic Dessert Gallery

20 Divas enjoyed a Valentine-themed luncheon at Berryhill Baja Grill. The tables were decorated with red and white plush puppies which were take-home gifts from the hostesses. After good conversation and a short walk across the parking lot - there was the Mystic Dessert Bar! Ladies were transported back to a lifetime ago by the playful decor and variety of sweet treats. Each Diva chose from a variety of nuts and candies, arranged them in a mold, then squeezed creamy, yummy chocolate over everything to create a a custom chocolate bar. While the chocolate bars were cooled and packaged, door prizes were given out to each Diva. March 28th

Activity: Western themed Bunco at Quail Valley City Center

Easter came early to the Quail Valley City Centre as our bunco space was decorated with pretty spring colors and
Easter-themed items. After enjoying lively rounds of bunco and catching up with one another between rolls, both the "winners" and "losers" selected lovely prizes. When we sat down to lunch, each place setting had an Easter bag with a cute and tasty white bunny. Ladies attending included Susie Adair, Shirley Beu, Sue Cecil, Linda Dick, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Sandy Livingston, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Ester Wleczyk, and our special guest, Connie's Aunt Ann.

April 25th

Activity: Overnight at Janet's beach house

Divas gathered at Janet's beautiful beach house to enjoy good food, conversation, and total relaxation. Thanks to Janet for sharing beach life with us - sitting on the deck listening to the waves, feeling the ocean breeze and sharing conversation was surely a little bit of heaven! Ladies that journeyed to the beach included Susie Adair, Sue Cecil, Connie Kaleta, Sandy Livingston, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, and Lisa Pepin.

May 23rd

Activity: Etagami Art Experience

The Divas gathered at Sugar Land Art Center to learn about Etagami. Lisa Jastram discussed the history of this Japanese postcard art then gave hands-on instruction so each lady could hand paint her own "masterpieces." After working up an appetite, the ladies met at The Egg and I for lunch. The hostesses had decorated the tables with red and purple pom poms and cute cards with our names sitting on little easels. Divas in attendance were Susie Adair, Sue Cecil, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Sandy Livingston, Dolores Patterson, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, and Becky's guest, Miriam Watson.

June 27th

Activity: Lunch at Red Robin and shopping along Harwin

The Divas gathered for a tasty lunch and much conversation at the Red Robin in Westchase, where a classic pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings were given to each lady by our hostesses. After pictures, we traveled down Harwin to shop at Sue's favorite stores, where she had persuaded the owners to give us the wholesale price. Many bags of goodies were held by the Divas as they finished shopping. In attendance were Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Virginia Lemmon, Sheila Lubojasky, Sandy Livingston, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Jan Snell, and Ester Wleczyk.

July 25th

The Divas met at Brandani's restaurant in Missouri City. It was a pleasure to relax, chat and enjoy one another's company over good food. The Divas gathered at P.F. Changs to catch up on the news and share our experiences during Harvey. The hostesses greeted us with autumnal table centerpieces and "goody bags" honoring Johnny Appleseed, whose birthday is September 26. Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Sharon Gorman, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Sandy Livingston, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum and Jan Snell were in attendance.

October 24th

Activity: Fall/Halloween fun at Connie's home

It was a beautiful autumn day for gathering in the Kaleta's man cave for friendship, food, decorative hat judging, pumpkin weight guessing, and ghostly bingo. First and second place winners in the hat decorating contest were Pat and Sue, respectively, who received prizes for their creativity. Pat and Connie tied for coming closest to the exact weight of the pumpkins, and cute bracelets were awarded to the winner of each bingo game. Everyone was a winner at lunch time when we enjoyed the many delicious salads and desserts provided by our membership. Joining in the fun were Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Sharon Gorman, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Sandy Livingston, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler and her daughter Dana, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Jan Snell, Barbara Trotter, and Ester Wleczyk.

November 13th (2nd MONDAY)

Activity: Christmas craft project at the clubhouse in Pat's neighborhood

We were provided with an outlet to exercise our creativity in making glass Christmas crafts. Wine glasses and all sorts of pretty ribbons and colorful craft items were ours for the choosing. It was fun to share conversation while gluing with laser focus! The final products were very cute one-of-a-kind creations worthy of proud display. Box lunches with tasty sandwiches and huge yummy cookies made for a delicious lunch. Activity: Christmas Party at the Dew House

It was a beautiful December day at the Dew House when twelve of us Divas joined one another in Christmas cheer, laughter, lunch, and a very naughty gift exchange! We enjoyed a tour of the festively decorated historical home conducted by docent Becky...we are thankful to her in arranging for us Divas to have our event in such a unique venue and sharing her knowledge of the property with us. Thanks also to Julie and Barb who took charge of fun and games to include Christmas bingo with prizes for all. Those present for the merriment were Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Sue Cecil, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Connie Kaleta, Janet Moss, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, and Barbara Trotter.
