Activity: 7th Anniversary Party
21 divas attended this celebratory event, marking our seven years of red-hatting together. Updated rosters were distributed. New leadership was announced. Calendar of events for 2012 was built. Games were played. Prizes were awarded. Present were Divas Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Eva Fackeldey, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Trotter, Barbara Watson and Ester Wleczyk.
February 28th

Activity: Enjoy lunch and games at the Cheesecake Factory in Houston. Shop 'til ya drop' at the new Sam Moon Store nearby.
13 divas came out to enjoy this get-together and each other's company. Lunch was great and games&prizes were enjoyed at the Cheesecake Factory. Divas seemd delighted with the new Sam Moon store with its varied and abundant selections of merchandise. Present were Divas Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Eva Fackeldey, Becky Gay, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Norma Smith and Barbara Trotter.
March 27th

Activity: Enjoy lunch at Max&Julie's Brasserie. Tour the Houston Contemporary Craft Center, meeting resident artists/craftsmen. Create a personal art work in glass.
13 divas were available to take in this delightful outing that Beacky & Dolores planned for the group. Lunch at the French Brasserie was most delicious. A game was played where each diva had a time to share. Camaraderie was enjoyed. The group then became 'mini' artists at the craft museum. What fun was had! In attendance were Divas Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes and Ester Wleczyk.
April 24th

Activity: Tour Kegg's Candy Factory in Houston and visit their showroom. Enjoy lunch at nearby Chuy's Mexican Restaurant.
13 divas gathered to have fun at this event planned by Ester and Pat. It was interesting to learn the many steps that go into the making of fine chocolate. And Kegg's makes a FINE chocolate indeed. Thanks to our hosts, we each enjoyed a rather large Kegg's chocolate rose. Their large showroom displayed many clever 'chocolate' creations that were for sale. Lunch and cameraderie at Chuy's later was fun also. That we lingered there was proof of that. In attendance were Divas Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Norma Smith and Ester Wleczyk.
May 22nd

Activity: Enjoy touring, shopping, and lunching at the Brookwood Community Center.
10 divas and one guest were able to attend this trip to Brookwood. They enjoyed a tour of the beautiful worship center, a video of the founder of the Brookwood Community, and a review of the center's purpose. They met some of Brookwood's 'citizens' and saw how they create their handiwork/trade. They dined together in the cafe on the grounds, where they enjoyed some very delicious food. They finished their day in the shop where home-grown gifts and plants were for sale. In attendance were Divas Sue Adam, Susie Adair, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Virginia Lemmon, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Norma Smith and Ester Wleczyk. Becky's diva guest was Gabriella Vacca.
June 26th

Activity: Tour the Telephone Museum in downtown Houston. Enjoy lunch at the nearby Java Java Restaurant
9 divas were able to attend this interesting and educational tour of the Doc Porter Museum of Telephone History. They were told that the building has now been sold and that the future of the museum is uncertain at this point. The group of divas may have been the last to tour the current location. History in itself! Divas Susie Adair, Dana Anderson, Julie Beu, Linda Dick, Virginia Lemmon, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Evelyn Rosenbaum and Diane Schuler were in attendance. Afterwards they enjoyed a relaxed luncheon together at Java Java, a cozy & comfortable setting in the Heights / Old Houston.
July 24th

Activity: Enjoy lunch and play BINGO at the Post Oak Grill in Sugar Land. Participate in our annual SILENT AUCTION, benefitting the not-for-profit Cinderella/Cinderfella Project.
20 divas graced this occasion with their beautiful presence. Joining them were 10 outside guests. Bingo was fun. Hefty cash prizes were won. Free popcorn donated by the 1st Community Bank was enjoyed. Lunch was most delicious. But most importantly, $1360 was made on the silent auction for the Cinderella/Cinderfella Project. Diva Eva Fackeldey, founder and CEO of PPC, was most grateful for this contribution. The whole Red Haute Diva club was proud of its unified efforts here. August 28th

Activity: Enjoy another culinary 'trip to Italy' with Chef Gabriella Vacca at Janet Moss's home. (Last year's chef experienece was so well received, we asked for another.)
16 divas were in town to attend this very special gathering at Janet's beautiful home. Chef Gabriella Vacca demonstrated the preparing & cooking of interesting recipes, all including bread. What fun it was watching an expert at work! And how delicious each segment of the meal was! In attendance were Divas Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Janet Moss, Dolores Patterson, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Marcelle Smitley, Barbara Trotter and Ester Wleczyk.
September 25th

Activity: Experience the Butler Longhorn Museum in League City. Enjoy lunch at the Milk Pail Tea Room nearby.
11 divas had a great time together at this special gathering in League City. We now have new respect for the Texan longhorns because of this interesting tour. And the Milk Pail Tea Room proved to be a delightful setting in which to dine and enjoy each other's company. A relaxing outing! In attendance were Divas Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Norma Smith and Barbara Trotter.
October 23rd

Activity: Tour the Brook Street Fire Station in Sugar Land. Enjoy lunch at BJ's Brewhouse nearby.
14 of us had the interesting and enjoyable experience of touring this new state-of-the-art fire house in Sugar Land, including a fully-decked-out fire truck. The tour was guided by three educated firemen who have years of service in this potentialy-dangerous career. Afterwards, the group met for lunch at BJ's, where we enjoyed good food and each other's company. In attendance were divas Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Diane Schuler, Marcelle Smitley, and Ester Wleczyk. Diva Barbara Trotter met the group for lunch only.
November 12th - MONDAY
Coordinators: Shiley Beu, Eva Quearry and Marcelle Smitley
Activity: Visit the Wildlife Center of Texas. Enjoy lunch at The Olive Garden nearby.
8 divas chose to take in this outing. We were impressed with the interesting & entertaining speaker who shared with us the great work for rescue animals that is being done at the center. We actually stood near three owls that are being rehabilitated at this time. Many volunteers keep this good work happening. Having lunch with each other afterwards at the new Olive Garden Restaurant rounded out a day well spent. In attendance on this Monday were Divas Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Pay Hayden, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Marcelle Smitley, and Ester Wleczyk.
December 10th - MONDAY
Coordinators: Arlene Rivenes, Connie Kaleta and Sue Adam
Activity: Celebrate diva friendships at a Christmas Party at Queen Arlene's Sugar Land home. Spirits and a potluck lunch will be enjoyed. Games will be played. Prizes will be won. Donations of dog or cat food will be collected in lieu of ornament exchange.
21 divas gathered together at the queen's home during this joyous season to celebrate red-hat friendships. Much fun was had as we played games, won prizes, ate pot-luck goodies, enjoyed festive drinks, and made donations of dog/cat food for the animal shelter. What camaraderie! Only two divas were absent in the end due to medical emegencies (Janet Moss and Ester Wleczyk).
