January 28th
Host: Queen Arlene Rivenes and Lisa Pepin
Activity: Celebrating the Red Haute Divas 15th Anniversary at Corelli's Restaurant
Our group met at Corelli’s Italian Café to celebrate our 15th anniversary as official Red Hat Society members. Queen Arlene and Diva Lisa prepared the festive setting with the theme being Winter Wonderland. Winter magnolias were everywhere. A beautiful Winter blend wreath and Winter pine candle decorated the dessert table. Delicious peanut butter chocolate bars were provided by Lisa. A large winter magnolia decorated the celebratory drink table. Mimosas were provided by Arlene. Take-home gifts of large chocolate kisses were presented to every diva from Queen Arlene. Besides the annual business meeting, inspirational quotes were passed around the table so that each diva could read aloud the one she selected from the white & silver vessel. 17 divas were home and well enough to attend this anniversary celebration: Susie, Sue A., Julie, Shirley, Sue C., Linda, Becky, Sharon, Pat, Connie, Sandy, Janet, Lisa, Arlene, Charlotte, Barbara, and Ester. ‘Thinking of You’ cards were circulated so each diva could write love notes to our 2 sisters who are seriously ill – Divas Diane and Dolores.
February 25th

Activity: Lunch at Sandy McGee's and Shop in Downtown Richmond
15 of us met at Sandy McGee’s Restaurant in Richmond where we enjoyed camaraderie and a delicious lunch. Hostesses Sandy Livingston and Linda Dick had the tables decorated in ‘Valentine-themed’ pink & reds. At each setting was a small jar of candies for our take-home pleasure. Four lucky divas won ‘heart-related’ door prizes. Hostesses had us participate in a trivia challenge where we were to guess names of actors and actresses who played romantic roles in the movies, on TV, or in real life. Shopping in the area followed the luncheon. In attendance were Divas Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Sandy Livingston, Lisa Pepin, Arlene Rivenes, Charlotte Roberts, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Jan Snell, Barbara Trotter and Ester Wleczyk.
