We Red Haute Divas are off and running into the new year of fun and friendship!  In spite of the terrible acoustics we made progress in setting our 2018 calendar with hostesses for each month except February.  Updated rosters were distributed and some sunshine and showers shared.  Shirley gave the purple purse report.  Lisa will continue to update the website.  After business was completed, we did what we do best, enjoying a tasty meal while catching up on all the news from our Diva sisters.  Those in attendance included Susie Adair, Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Sharon Gorman, Pat Hayden, Connie Kaleta, Sandy Livingston, Janet Moss, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Barbara Trotter, and Ester Wleczyk.

Activity:  Lunch at Las Alamedas and shopping

The Divas met at Las Alamedas for a spring themed luncheon.  The table was decorated with little vases of spring flowers and a cute box of sweets for each us.  Spring was definitely in the air as we racked our brains to fill in the blanks on a "Spring Fun" word game - challenging but a lot of fun trying to recall phrases and songs.  We were happy to have Virginia back with us and presented her with Red Hat items and cash to assist her in returning to normalcy after the blows dealt by Harvey.  Afterwards, ladies were free to go shopping at La Cantera.  Divas in attendance included Sue Adam, Julie Beu, Shirley Beu, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Sharon Gorman, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemon, Sandy Livingston, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Jan Snell, Barbara Trotter and Ester Wleczyk.

What a fun time we had "shopping" and lunching at the Accessory Exchange.  It was evident that much planning and execution went into this successful and entertaining occasion, from the transformation of Eva's home into a boutique to the delicious chicken salad and croissants.  Cudos to everyone who brought their no longer wanted accessories that became "new" treasures to the rest of us.  A fun and memorable experience!  Those in attendance included Sue Adam, Susie Adair, Shirley Beu, Sue Cecil, Linda Dick, Becky Gay, Connie Kaleta, Virginia Lemmon, Sandy Livingston, Lisa Pepin, Eva Quearry, Arlene Rivenes, Diane Schuler, Jan Snell, Ester Wleczyk, and special guest Charlotte Roberts.  Charlotte has become our newest Diva!

The Sugar Land Heritage Museum, inside a former Imperial Sugar Land warehouse, is where the Divas were treated to an informative and interesting tour.  Although still a work in progress, our tour guide was able to showcase local history and the sugar industry, which was pivotal in the development of Sugar Land and Fort Bend County.  In the same building is the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center, offering kids fun and educational interactive learning experiences.  This is a must-do for those of you with grandchildren!  We then enjoyed lunch, conversation, fun and games at Willie's.  There were prizes for the game winners and we each left with a sparkly bracelet as a gift.
